The Rolling Stones have undertaken a legal action against a German fashion retailer for using without permission, on promotional sales posters and clothing tags, the famous lips and tongue logo, designed for them by art designer John Pasche in 1971. The famous band is claiming a $315,000 compensation and a $25,500 fine. The German company denies the Band's exclusive right on the logo, but in the meantime it has already removed over 800 promotional posters and 3000 tags bearing the logo.
