Russia has adopted a decree which allows local companies and individuals to use inventions, utility models and industrial designs held by owners from “unfriendly countries” without their consent and without paying any compensation. Alarming situation also with regards to trademarks and copyright, following the recent decision from a russian Court that, even though no official changes have been made to the law, has ruled that the cartoon character's trademarks can be used by Russian businesses without punishment.
