Update on EU Copyright reform

The European Parliament, during plenary session in Strasbourg, voted against the start of negotiations with the EU Council and Commission on the proposed directive on copyright reform, which focuses on online copyright.   The text will be examined and voted again during the next plenary session on September 10th-14th. The European Parliament split in two to vote: in favor of 278 MEPs, while the no were 318 and 31 abstained.
