A letter to members of the U.S. Senate was sent on April 3rd by Secretary of Commerce Carlos M. Gutierrez on key aspects of the Patent Reform Act (S. 1145), including the Applicant Quality Submissions (AQS) provision. Enacting AQS will reduce the likelihood of claims for damages, as well as post-grant review.
