Tonino Lamborghini Wins Legal Battle Against Cousin Fabio

On June 26, 2025, the Bologna Business Court ruled in favor of Tonino Lamborghini, son of Ferruccio Lamborghini and father of influencer Elettra, in a legal dispute against his cousin Gianmarco Fabio Lamborghini. The court determined that Fabio engaged in unfair competition by presenting himself as an heir to the founder and using the Lamborghini brand for events, sponsorships, and business ventures.
Fabio is now banned from using the Lamborghini name or logo for promotional or commercial purposes. Each future violation will incur a €1,000 fine, in addition to around €15,000 in legal fees.
The court highlighted that Fabio’s actions caused confusion—especially through international appearances in Dubai and Japan—by exploiting the Lamborghini name and bull logo. However, the judges did not award Tonino any damages for lost revenue, as no direct financial harm was proven.
Fabio’s legal team has announced plans to appeal the decision.
