Nike superfast patented shoes to be excluded from official races?

Nike shoes "Vaporfly", renowned for helping the Kenyan runner Kipchoge be the first man ever to run a marathon in less than two hours, may be soon banned, at least for what official IAAF races are concerned. The peculiar features protected by the Nike patent (mainly the carbon fiber plate in the midsole) would improve the performances of the runners, providing them with an "unfair advantage" unlawful under the IAAF rules.
