The famous fastfood McDonald's has lost the legal battle with Malaysian Chicken Curry for the trademark "McCurry", after eight years of trials and appeals. The Supreme Court granted the MCC to use the prefix "Mc" and rejected the request filed by McDonald's to appeal against the earlier decision of another Court of Appeal that had allowed the restaurant 'McCurry' to use said prefix. Judge Ariffin Zakaria, while reading the verdict of the jury of three members in the administrative capital of the country, said that McDonald's has not properly filed the new appeal against the previus verdict.
