California district judge Lucy Koh has ordered Samsung to halt sales of its Galaxy 10.1 tablet computer in the US as it copied the design of Apple's iPad. Apple's win represents a new thorn in the flank of Samsung, as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is one of the most aggressive challengers against iPad. The judge wrote in her order: "Although Samsung has a right to compete, it does not have a right to compete unfairly, by flooding the market with infringing products". This decision is part of a much larger patent battle between the two tech giants. Although the injunction is only preliminary, Apple aims to prevent the sale in the United States of Galaxy Tab 10.1.
