Gucci vs Guess

With a judgement rendered on May 3, 2013 in the lawsuit undertaken by Gucci against Guess, the Court of Milan declared the nullity of some Gucci trademarks consisting of the so-called diamond pattern with G logo and the Flora design. The Court has also excluded the counterfeiting of Gucci trademarks by Guess, the existence of exclusive rights held by Gucci on the signs consisting of a squared G, as well as the unfair competition for slavish imitation and parasitism. Gucci has already publicly declared that they will appeal the decision as soon as possible.
