Foreo won a lawsuit in China for infringing Luna Foreo’s design patent by receiving an important refund for counterfeiting.
The Court’s ruling showed that the counterfeiting company made a lot of money selling counterfeit products on online platforms.
A study by the Global Brand Counterfeiting Report found that 80% of counterfeit goods come from China, but the Chinese courts are currently waging a battle to eliminate couterfeiting in their territory.
Despite counterfeiting, Foreo enjoys a very strong position, in fact last year’s sales were second only to the iPhone.
