Fight against counterfeiting: Amazon introduces the Transparency code

Amazon has launched also in Europe, India and Canada the Transparency service, which allows to track merchandise originality and stop counterfeit products thanks to a unique code.
In particular, companies can enroll their products in Transparency and apply on each product a code, so that Amazon, customers and all the other parties of the distribution chain can authenticate the originality at any time.
Moreover, through the unique code every time a marked product is ordered, Amazon scans Transparency code to ensure only authentic units are shipped to customers. Customers, for their part, can download an app that allows the same checking operation through the unique code scan.
Finally, Transparency service enables the communication of unique information even between different companies, in order to verify immediately actual merchandise originality, but also other details as the date and place of production.
