In Malaysia, copyright registration process was introduced on May 28th, 2012. The passing of the Copyright (Amendment) Act, 2012 enabled the voluntary notification to inform the public on the existence of copyrights. Since February 2, 2021, the filing of voluntary notification of copyright has become possible also online on the MyIPO official website.
