China is facing a very difficult time because of the Coronavirus, in light of which the Chinese Patent Office has published a notice stating that all patents relating to possible treatments against Coronavirus will be examined with absolute priority.
In the meantime, the Whuan Institute of Virology filed a patent on the Gilead Science remdesivir drug on January 21, 2020 that appears to be a suitable drug to treat diseases caused by Coronavirus.
