Big seizure of counterfeit shoes in Palermo

Five members of a Chinese family were reported for tax evasion, self-laundering, money laundering, counterfeiting and product possession. Frequent trips to China and the transport of large sums of cash have aroused the attention of the Guardia di Finanza of Palermo which, following a series of investigations, has seized 18 thousand pairs of shoes with counterfeited trademarks stored in a warehouse storage for a total value of around 5 million euros. Many documents written in chinese have also been seized attesting that since 2013 the family has made economic transactions both in Italy and in China for a total amount of 8 million Euro and with money laundering has not paid taxes for about 10 million Euro.
