A photo of a wolf can enjoy copyright protection

The Court of Milan has stated at the end of a dispute undertaken by the photograph Daniel Cox against the stylist Antonio Marras. Cox had requested the Court to assess that the reproduction of his shoot depicting a howling wolf under a snowfall on some clothing designed by the stylist constituted a violation of copyright. The Court upheld the photograph’s claims, confirming that even a photo with a nature subject is worthy of copyright protection, to the extent it “evokes impressions going beyond the common aspects of the real life” and lets the audience perceive the personal imprint of the author.
